Oral Presentations

Abstract correction

All abstracts of accepted contributions will be compiled in the book of abstracts, which will be available at the beginning of the conference. All authors of accepted contributions will have the opportunity to revise their abstract

Therefore, you are kindly requested to check your abstract for any mistakes and to report all necessary corrections to the organising committee via infotropentag.de. Please make the corrections visible as it is not possible to replace the whole abstract. Be aware that after August 1^st, we will not process any corrections in your abstract.

Submission of full paper

Authors of accepted oral presentations are free to submit a 4 page version of their paper until October 31, 2025. These versions will be published online at the Tropentag website (http://www.tropentag.de). In order to search the fulltext of all published contributions, a search engine will be installed locally. Additionally the site will be promoted and submitted to major search engines.

In order to facilitate the process of publishing your contributions online, only Acrobat pdf files (portable document files, extension: .pdf) are accepted.

The contribution should be ca. 4 pages. For all contributions, paper size is DIN A4 (21x29.7 cm), top margin is 2.5cm, bottom, left and right margins are 2.2 cm. All images, figures and tables must be inserted directly into the text. You may use the file Template_TT2025.rtf as template for your contribution (Rich Text Format, can be imported from any major word processing software). Recommended layout and structure may be also seen from this four page version submitted for Tropentag 2015 in Berlin.

Oral presentations during "Tropentag 2025"

All accepted oral presentations are limited to 10 min presentation time. Please prepare your presentation accordingly. All oral presentations will be in-person presentations unless the presenter indicated during submission that it is intended as online presentation only. If online presentation, the presenters will be informed wel in advance if their presentation will be scheduled in a livestream or if they have to upload a pre-registered presentation. The oral presentation sessions will be held on the following days:
Wednesday September 10 from 17:15 - 18:45, on Thursday September 11 from 10:45 - 12:15, from 13:45 - 15:15 and from 15:45 - 17:15 (UTC+2).

Submission of files for oral presentations

All oral presentations should be uploaded until 10.09.2024 00:00 to BOKU Drive: https://drive.boku.ac.at/u/d/13439a3b47c048e7be2e/ in emergent cases an upload is possible at the latest 2 hours before the presentation only at the registration desk.

Presentations will be accepted only as MS Powerpoint presentations or stand-alone presentations (PDF or JPG, 16:9 aspect ratio recommended). In order to ensure a correct presentation, we recommend showing the presentation as a PDF. All presenters must keep the planned 10 minutes of presentation time and 5 minutes of question time. A chairperson in each session will ensure that the time schedule is kept.
