International Germany Alumni Training Seminar

Announcement and call for applications

On behalf of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), three German universities organise the International Germany Alumni Training Seminar in the run-up to Tropentag 2023 conference.

These seminars will be held from September 12-18, 2023 followed by the participation in the Tropentag 2023 conference in Berlin, Germany.

• Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) in Dresden: Expansion of Alumni's competencies and network activities in the field of food systems and forest products: the role of sustainable consumption and production (SCP)


• TH Köln - University of Applied Sciences in Cologne: Biodiversity and Food Security Nexus: Species-rich tropical forests as core areas for sustainable agriculture


• University of Kassel and the German Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture (DITSL) in Witzenhausen: Strategies of ecological intensification for the sustainable transformation of agri-food systems in the global south
  

Travel grants

AGRINATURA will provide travel grants to successful applicants from their member institution (except the hosting institution). Students are challenged to submit their abstract to the Tropentag Conference till 1st May, and in the same time to send the abstract and request for travel grant to the AGRINATURA Secretariat (email: secretariat@agrinatura-eu.eu) till 1st June. As soon as the abstract will be accepted by Tropentag conference committee, AGRINATURA selection committee will select students who will receive the travel grant.
