One of the very famous cattle in the world was Bali cattle which originally from Indonesia. Bali cattle was domesticated from banteng  before century, came from familia Bovidae, genus Bos, grup Taurinae, species Bos sondaicus (banteng). As a local genetic resources, quantity and quality of this cattle need to be protected. For conservation the breed, Indonesia Goverment had Bali cattle Breeding Unit with aimed to protect the pure genetic of Bali cattle, because there was tendency declining their genetic potentially. This Breeding Unit had been provided to produce pure genetic and high quality calves for distributed to many island in Indonesia. Regarding of that, it was very important to know the cow productivity and their calves performances in this breeding centre. The research was conducted to evaluate performances of cows and calves of Bali cattle kept in Bali Cattle Breeding Unit at Desa Pangyangan, Kecamatan Pekutatan, Kabupaten Jembrana, Bali, Indonesia. The material was recording of  cows and calves available at Bali Cattle Breeding Unit from 2003--2007, it was consisted of first partum age, calving intervals, natality rate, birth weight, weaning weight and mortality rate of calves. Data was tabulated and calculated for its percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results showed that first partum age was 38,66 $\pm$ 5,58 months, younger heifer had late first partum age. Calving intervals was 15,36 $\pm$ 5,17 months and birth rate was 65,67 $\pm$ 11,\mbox{52\,\%}.  Birth weight were 16,51 $\pm$ 0,\mbox{43\,kg} (16,51 $\pm$   1,\mbox{04\,kg} for male and 16,28  $\pm$   1,\mbox{14\,kg} for female); weaning weight were 79,92 $\pm$ 6,\mbox{43\,kg} (79,27 $\pm$ 16,\mbox{60\,kg} for male and 80,59  $\pm$ 14,\mbox{01\,kg} for female); average daily gain were 0,31 $\pm$ 0,\unitfrac[03]{kg}{head}/d  (0,30 $\pm$   0,\unitfrac[08]{kg}{head}/d  for male and 0,31  $\pm$   0,\unitfrac[07]{kg}{head}/d for female) and mortality rate were 7 ,28 $\pm$ 6,\mbox{71\,\%}. As a breeding centre, it was concluded that performances of cows and calves of Bali cattle kept on Bali Cattle Breeding Unit was not optimised yet.
