\textbf{Abstract}
\begin{abstract}
\normalsize{
Industrial processing of cassava in Africa is still limited, the need for rapid cassava mash dewatering is the second major problem in the production of High Quality unfermented Cassava Flour (HQCF), a cassava mash handling machine with combined stages of processing involving dewatering, conveyance, pulverising and sieving operations single but rapid continuous operation allowing the reduction of energy and other handling requirements for HQCF production was developed. The output of the process met the quality of products made by other processing. Production cost of mash and price of fuels made this research important, it was carried out in IITA and at the Agricultural Engineering department of Federal University of Technology Akure, the outcome was helpful as it crates future hope for cassava flour processing technologies.

Rapid cassava mash dewatering is the second major problem in the production of High Quality Unfermented Cassava Flour (HQCF) and certainly the most tedious operation in cassava flour production; presently there is no continuous cassava mash"=processing machine, an handling machine with combine stages of dewatering, conveyance, pulverising and sieving operations in a single rapid and continuous operation leads to reduction of energy and other handling requirements for HQCF production developed involved sketching of the process and its consideration for the operation of dewatering and pulverisation. Various stages of handling were experimentally tested and considerations were made before the fabrication of the machine prototype in IITA Ibadan. During the test, the extrusion of mash through a partially held piston by spring mounted on the rotating shaft allows variation of compression. The pressure on mash came from the screw movement operating in the horizontal plane. Cassava pulp from the charging screw press forced juices through a cloths used as filtering media with reinforced frame. A juice yield of 1L/\mbox{50\,kg} of mash was obtained and wet flour at moisture of 46\%mc wet basis was pulverised and laid at the collecting chute.
