The study was conducted to investigate the growth performance and carcass characteristics of weaned rabbits fed varying levels of unfermented and fermented cocoa pod husk meal. Completely Randomised Design (CRD) was used which comprised of twenty unsexed weaned New Zealand and Chinchilla cross rabbits which were randomly allotted into treatment A, B, C, D and E. Each treatment consisted of two replicates with two rabbits per replicate. Treatment A served as the control diet (without CPHM), B and C had \mbox{30\,\%} and \mbox{40\,\%} unfermented CPHM while D and E contained \mbox{30\,\%} and \mbox{40\,\%} fermented CPHM respectively. Freshly broken cocoa pod husk were collected from a fermentary unit of  the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN)  and processed. Some were sundried into a constant weight before milling while the other part was fermented for five days and then sun dried into a constant weight and later broken into pieces and then milled. The milled unfermented  and fermented CPHM were incorporated into the experimental diets at \mbox{30\,\%} and \mbox{40\,\%} levels. The study showed that rabbits on diets D and E were significantly different in body weight gain, feed intake, water consumption and feed conversion efficiency  than those on diets A(control), B and C. The carcass analysis also showed that the eviscerated weight, hind limbs, fore"=limbs, back and tail weight of rabbits on diets D and E were significantly higher ($p < 0.05$)  than those on diets A, B and C. The results showed that fermentation improved the feed intake, water consumption, body weight gain of rabbits fed \mbox{30\,\%} and \mbox{40\,\%} cocoa pod husk meal followed by treatments B and C while treatment A had the least significant values.  High negative correlation was observed between the concentration of CPH in the diet and carcass dressing percentage. There were no deaths attributable to CPH in the diet.
