This study was conducted at the Cockle Park Experiment Station, Newcastle University United Kingdom to evaluate the performance of hens subjected to induced moult by non feed withdrawal methods. A total of 72 Bovan-Hyline hens (70 weeks of age) were subjected to 1-wk acclimation (16L:8D photoperiod, ad libitum feed / water); 5-wk induced moulting and 10---wk postmoult production periods. Hens were divided into three treatment groups (24 hens per treatment in 8 cages havng \unitfrac[3]{hens}{cage}): ad libitum feeding with 8h (A) photoperiods or 8h photoperiod with restricted food (B) or B plus Aluminium (C). All hens received 16L:8D photoperiod and ad libitum layer mash containing 170 g CP/kg for 10 during postmoult weeks. Feed intake, live weight, moult scoring, egg production were monitored accordingly and weekly data were statistically analysed to compare the treatments at $p < 0.05$. Treatment B and Treatment C hens showed a significant decrease in live weight (feed intake reduced to \unitfrac[30]{g}{bird}/day) as compared to Treatment A during moulting period which increased rapidly as feed allocation was increased in post moult period. Treatment A hens showed negligible moult scoring during the experimental period while Treatment B and Treatment C (higher than B) hens showed significantly high moult scoring values. Egg production remained high for Treatment A during moulting period; however, from 4\textsuperscript{th} post moult week onwards egg production of Treatment C was higher than all the treatments. It was, therefore,  concluded that non feed removal induced moulting proved better than feed deprivation/non moulted hens and can be recommended for the future moulting of laying flocks in the poultry industry.}
