\textbf{Abstract}

Achieving growth and development is dependent on the efficient and correct use of resources. The goal of social welfare promotion is not possible without addressing sustainable development. Environmental protection and the reduction of the harmful effects of economic activities on environmental conditions that impact human life in the frame of sustainable development suggests a change in the approach to resource allocations in order to gain the maximum economic efficiency. An environmental tax (Green Tax) is one of the new tools used to implement the measures of sustainable development in the process of economic activities. In the present study, the experiences of other countries, as well as modern methods of collecting green taxes, have been studied. After obtaining the necessary literature and basic data, including the Social Accounting Matrix of Iran and the information necessary for the model from valid sources, in the frame of a Calculable Comparable General Equilibrium suitable for the Iranian economic structure using the software GAMS, analysis of the impact of a green tax on the promotion of environmental and welfare indices has been considered in several different scenarios. Assessment of an energy tax must reduce other taxes. In other words, they must contribute to a reduction of the overall excess burden of the tax system. Most current green taxes are by a regulation of the environment in Iran as energy taxes. In this study, we use data from the input-output table 1380 for Iran. In the foreign sector there exists a deficit, and unemployment enters the model for Iran. For endogenous unemployment, the consumer goods price index (Pw) or welfare price fix and Walras? Law enter into the model. The results of this study indicate that with assessment of an energy tax higher than 5\,\%, welfare increases almost 0.07\,\% and unemployment reduces 0.88\,\%.
