Effects of livestock exclusion were studied on forest stands regeneration in Ramsar's district 1. This area is situated at end point of Guilan province in Mazandaran province that is located in Iran northern. The forest stand was done by the selection system in this area. In order to study the exclusion of livestock in the district mentioned, the compartment 23 (with total area approximately \mbox{96\,ha}) was selected. The necessary information was gathered in two years (1379 and 1388) and then compared together. To assess the regeneration abundance, inventory was carried out in both years using systematic random sampling with the network dimensions of 150×200 and sample plot of 100 m$^{2}$. Within each sample plot (after species identification), regeneration conditions were surveyed and then classified in 4 classes: seedling with height less than \mbox{1.30\,m}, diameter at breast height 0--2.5, 2.5--7.5 and 7.5--\mbox{12.5\,cm}. In addition to this, some other characteristics were evaluated in the sample plot of \mbox{0.1\,ha} (both plots are identical from the centre). The comparison of the obtained results in two different years (1379 and 1388) showed a statistically significant difference between means of regeneration number of total species and different species at the 0.01 and 0.05 confidence levels separately. Based on the results, the removal of livestock from forest in the end of 9 years caused consideration increment as well as an increase in the regeneration establishment in forest. So the increment was more than \mbox{110\,\%} in 1388 demonstrating positive effect of the livestock removal on forest regeneration.  }
