Kalimantan has by far the long history of non"=timber forest product, because most of the society have livelihood as the farmer and they have live in the villages around the forest. Many of the products have as long a traditional in human history as do timber products. For example, rattan, rubber, fruit, aromatics, and so on. The products were gathered from the wild, or produced in forest plantations, agroforestry schemes and from trees outside forests. This study based on result of research and observation. Both rattan and rubber productions were sources of income for many rural people in Kalimantan. Normally, the people develop rattan and rubber in the areas of secondary forest and the first year after rice harvest. The first harvest of rattan usually commences 7 --- 10 years after planting, when the mature stems have reached a length of 10 --- 20 meters. But, generally, the quality and quantity output in higher after 12 years. Two kinds of species produce rubber, namely; \textit{Hevea brasiliensis} and Dyera spp. \textit{Hevea brasiliensis} planted in up land areas, and Dyera spp, in low land (swamp forest). The first tapping of \textit{Hevea brasiliensis} and Dyera spp. usually commences 6 years and 10 years, respectively. Normally the local people manage rattan and rubber traditionally. However both products contributed significantly to local and regional economies, but the biggest problem in describing these products was the fluctuation of local market due to lack of information for national market price of the products, and they do not have an organisation to develop the added value of product. Development of organisation to manage of NTFPs is an alternative to support the marketing system, and improving of the knowledge for the farmer how to add the product value. Two approaches can be developed NTFPs: the sustainable managements, and cultivation and conservation.
