Non Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) are defined all goods derived from forests of both plant and animal origin other than timber. NTFP has close correlation with socio"=economic sector because those products contribute important ways to population livelihoods and welfare. Nowadays NTFP is sustainable product that can be applied in Aceh, Indonesia because of logging ban. Logging ban is a new regulation from Governor in order to stop deforestation and illegal logging. Furthermore, concentrate in NTFP is good alternative to develop forest management involving local community. The study was conducted in the Central Aceh and Bener Meriah Districts, Aceh Province, Indonesia. The purposes of study were to assess the important NTFPs based on natural characteristics and their utilisation and to analyse the contribution of the NTFPs to local communities. The data were obtained with using of an open interview and semi"=structured questionnaires which was directed to the community and the concession company. The method of data analysis was descriptive statistics, which involved presentation of data in tabular and graphical forms. 25 species of NTFPs already compiled that come from both natural and plantation forest. The assessment of those products based on field survey. Every plant has different part of using and variation utilisation. Many species are used in multiple ways; harvesters utilise them not only for market purposes but also for household consuming specially for material food. NTFP is an additional activity and it contributed about \mbox{25\,\%} to the income of the local people, this value was not enough to support their live but they still work in this area because of profitable and useful products. The important source of income is the exploitation of the NTFP from naturally growing tree (Aquilaria sp), this species is quite high value and marketable. \textit{Arenga pinnata} is the most future interest in the study area although this species does not have high price but high demand in local market due to a lot of utilisation, sugar palm is the most common production from \textit{Arenga pinnata} and its kernel is sold or to community consumption as edible food.}
