Drought conditions occur ubiquitously during the growing season of many plants and in the case of crops, it could have a profound negative effect on crop productivity. Seed quality was affected by different parameters such as environmental factors, genetic, moisture and fertility of soil. Germination seed and seedling vigour are affected by many factors, including stresses, seeding practices, genetic. In order to assessment of drought stress and planting dates applied on original plant, on its vigour seeds, this research was performed in the Research Field and Laboratory of the Department of Agronomy of Aboureyhan Campus in Pakdasht during spring 2008. The field experiment (2008) was performed as a Completely Randomised Block Design (CRBD) with 20 treatments and 3 replications. These 20 treatments was included the seeds of 5 cultivars of canola (Licord, Opera, Modena, Elite, Sarigol), 2 kinds of planting dates (First half October and November) and 2 levels of irrigation (80 mm evaporation from class A pan and drought stress from stem elongation stage) which in year 2006--2007 had been cultivated as a factorial split plat in the pattern of CRBD. In the field the characteristics measured including: Final Emergence Percentage (FEP), Mean Time of Emerging, Mean Daily Emerging, Daily Emerging Speed, and at the laboratory EC of the liquid containing the seeds was measured. Our results indicated that there is no correlation between FEP and EC and so EC test can't be used for predication the number of emerging plants in the field. Based on variance analysis (Field) planting date and drought stress had no significant effect on measured characteristics. In the results of variance analysis (Laboratory) the cultivar of Modena due to high level of EC had the lowest quality and other cultivars had no significant difference. The interaction between the times of exertion the stress $\times$ Canola cultivars two cultivars, Sarigol and Modena had the highest, and in normal irrigation Sarigol had the lowest EC. The interaction between planting date $\times$ Canola cultivars, Modena cultivar in planting date two had highest EC and other cultivars had no significant difference with each other.
