\textbf{Abstract}
\begin{abstract}
\normalsize{
Zinc (Zn) deficiency is now recognised as a major problem of human nutrition worldwide. A major reason of Zn deficiency is low Zn content of cereals particularly  wheat that are the most important staple food in many developing countries. Through different approaches to overcome Zn deficiency problem (e.g., fortification, supplementation), agronomic biofortification is a stable and wide"=effective strategy in arid and semi"=arid regions, such as Iran. We hypothesise that using proper cropping system, as an agronomic biofortification strategy, may provide different benefits for agricultural productions both in quantitative and qualitative aspects. Preceding crop and crop residue management may influence soil conditions that govern soil fertility in general and micronutrients phytoavailability to the successive crop in particular. Therefore, we started field experiments to investigate the effects of crop rotation and crop residues management on grain Zn contents of two wheat genotypes differing in Zn"=efficiency in Iran. A factorial experiment consisted of five preceding crops, two wheat genotypes and two management systems of crop residues (removing vs. incorporating residues) in triplications was carried out. The preceding crops are the most common plants in Isfahan which are cultivated before wheat. The residues of preceding crops were removed at half of the plots and crashed and incorporated into the soil at the other half. Then, two wheat genotypes (Back Cross Roshan, as a Zn"=efficient genotype and Kavir as a Zn"=inefficient genotype) were seeded. Wheat plants will be harvested at maturity and some nutritional attributes such as grain Zn content of  wheat  and quantity properties will be measured.}
